More Food..First week in Seoul

Night out in Insadong..or Somewhere
Ate at a restaurant in a back alley sort of area where there wasn't many people but a lot of small restaurants. This place we went to had Japanese food mostly Kastu was the main food there. The food was really good. The Kastu was battered really lightly and tasted really good. I not too sure what the name of this place was but I don't even know if I can find it again either. It was about 8,500 won.

After Kastu Dinner a group of us walked around what I still think was Insadong or some where near there because they wanted to drink. We ended up at this bar that I can only remember had Holic in the name and was above some sort of sketchy Girl's day or Girl's something place with a bright pink sign.

It was pretty unique. They just had huge fridges of over 50 different kinds of beers and wine cooler type drinks and you just take one and drink whatever you want then when you are done they just add up all the bottles. Reminded me of Genki Sushi but Beer style.

Hello Kitty Cafe in Hondae..
Didn't actually go inside but it looked really cute and was near a lot of the clothes shops in Hongdae. It was some what behind, on a side street along the strip of clothes and shopping stores in Hongdae.

Food in Edae near Ewha
A Japanese restaurant near Ewha called Arigatou. It had a really cute travel theme in the restaurant. It was pretty good I had a Katsu donburi and it was about 7,000. It was just right amount of food it wasn't too heavy and the kastu was battered really flavorful. Korea from what I've eaten so far has really good Katsu here or Kasu as what it says on menus.

These fish snacks waffle outside and are filled with one of red bean and one of custard. So you get five of each, I made the mistake of being playing a foreign and actually didn't know about the custard ones I thought they were empty so I always just pointed to red bean but it is suppose to be half of each which I didn't know. I was so missing out the custard is so good. Definitely not one to be missed! This is one of the stands of street food near Ewha campus. They come in order of 10 of the small snacks for 2,000 won. They are so addicting and really good for a snack and come fresh and warm.

Ewha Campus Food

Ewha has so many different place on campus to get food. There is like the more restaurant style foods which are a little more expensive but still really reasonable. In the main ECC ( Ewha Campus Complex) there is "Maindish" which has three different smaller restaurant with pasta dishes, Japanese dishes and Korean. This is a mandoo kooksoo which was 5,000 won.

They have more cafeteria style places. The next dish is soondubu and it was only 2,500 won in one of the cafeteria near the international dorm.

Night out in Sincheon
Wanted to eat some meat and thought we were heading for a yakiniku place but instead it was more of a shabu shabu hot pot type of dish. It had thin pieces of beef and some mushrooms and veggies. Didn't get exactly what we thought but it was still really yummy.

Can't forget dessert. A waffle with ice cream and flavored sauce. I think it was apple when we had it but I think it changed everyday. Only 1,500 won and so yummy, Even though it's cold out it still tastes so good and it doesn't melt a bonus.

Staying in for the night..
Some instant jajjangmyun and kokopam (it was like Calpico but with chuck of coconut jelly inside). It's pretty useful to have a ramen stash in the dorm for anytime munchies especially since it's so cheep here.  Some smaller ones are less then 1,000 won.
