Visiting Dongdaemun and the Cheonggyecheon River
Caught the subway From Ewha Womens University to Dongdaemun. It was pretty different then the area of Edae. It seemed a bit dirty and dusty compared to Edae and it was pretty bustling and busy with people making deliveries of all sorts of materials and things. A lot of the area I walked in had shops that were very small and sold material and ribbon, blanket and kitchen things. There all were kind of separated into different alleys. There were also a lot of shops that made Hanbok or the traditional Korean wear in the area. There were a few underground shops that sold a lot of souvenir trinkets and hand made knit items. There was also a market area that had many small stations of people making all kinds of different foods.
I was a little disappointed when I reached the Cheonggyecheon River wasn't exactly like the pictures I've seen but I learned there are different areas. It goes on for a pretty long distance so guess I will maybe see more of it on a different day. I also learned it is a man made river and that it used to actually be a freeway before.

Can't forget some shopping. In the opposite direction of Dongdaemun the area closer to the Dongdaemun cultural park there are more commercial shopping. Shopping for a younger generation of people I felt like it was. I went to the Maxtyle Mall and got a few good deals. For top and skirt they were only 8,000 won each and got a good price with some negotiating by a nice lady for a cute dress.
